In collaboration with universities and metallurgical laboratories, Sinter has developed a new carbon-containing grey cast iron (GJL 250), which offers a coefficient of friction up to 20% higher than that of conventional grey cast iron.
A special disc made of grey cast iron with a thin ceramic layer was developed. These brake discs not only offer a high modulation and friction coefficient, but also have virtually no wear, like MMC discs.
They can only be used with the special green 2032 brake pads.
The new composite material for brake discs called MMC (Metal Matrix Composite) is three times lighter than cast iron. This means that the kart accelerates faster, brakes faster and turns faster in the curve (less weight, less brake disc swing). MMC brake discs can also only be used with the special green 2032 brake pads.
