The innovations introduced by Vortex Engines, however, have not limited to the makeover of the engine components, but also involved the updating of its manufacturing processes. The VTM benefits from an additional manufacturing process, the bore of the paired housing.
The VTM is the new engine - CIK-FIA approved - the Vortex range made for the mini class, followed by a single international regulation FIA Karting. Vortex R & D staff focused on creating an entirely new engine from the previous one. Among the innovations introduced, it has a cylinder head, a cylinder and a new design housing, all characterized by an increase in their radiating surfaces allowing a better cooling of the engine itself. In addition, with regard to the cylinder, the geometry of the ducts and transfers has been renewed. Other developments have also been made regarding the crankshaft and the exhaust, both of new design.
