Engine drive crankcase joint Rotax MAX and MAX EVO ensures the sealing of the housing located on the transmission side of the engine. This part is essential to ensure the proper functioning of the engine by preventing leakage of air, oil or intrusion of impurities inside the housing.

Installed between the various parts of the engine crankcase, this seal allows to maintain a perfect seal of the low engine, indispensable condition to maintain the performance and reliability of the engine Rotax in use karting competition.

Function

In an engine Rotax 125 MAX, the engine housing contains the crankshaft and transmission elements. The training crankcase joint allows to:

  • ensure sealing between housing components

  • prevent leaks of air or lubricant

  • protect internal components from dust and impurities

  • ensure stable internal pressure in the engine

Proper sealing of the crankcase is essential for the proper functioning of the 2-stroke engine, as any air intake can result in loss of performance or malfunction of the engine.

Compatibility

Compatible with engines Rotax :

  • Rotax 125 MAX Senior

  • Rotax MAX EVO

  • Rotax Junior MAX

  • Rotax Mini MAX

  • Rotax Micro MAX

This joint is used on different engine versions Rotax MAX used in karting competition.

Technical specifications

  • Type: crankcase joint engine drive

  • Usage: karting engine 2-stroke

  • Material: high strength technical seal (reinforced or composite paper)

  • Function: Motor housing sealing

  • Assembly: direct replacement in place of original part

Case joints are usually made of reinforced composite material to withstand engine temperatures and mechanical stresses Rotax.

Benefits

  • ensures optimum sealing of the engine housing

  • avoids air intakes that may disrupt engine operation

  • helps maintain engine performance Rotax

  • essential part when disassembling the low motor

Maintenance

When opening the engine or disassembly of the housing, it is strongly recommended to replace the joint in order to ensure perfect sealing at the winding. A worn or damaged seal may cause:

  • leak of oil or air

  • loss of low engine compression

  • loss of engine performance.
