Game Platelets ar v05 / v09 / v10 / v11 red

Sold by 2 pads

The brake pad CRG Red, reference AFS.01745, is a high-performance component specifically developed for rear braking systems of the chassis CRG and associated brands. This model is compatible with the V05, V09, V10 and V11 type stirrups, which are the reference standards in Karting Competition.

The "red" compound corresponds to a so-called "soft" trim or high coefficient of friction. It is designed to provide immediate biting and maximum braking power, even during short sessions or in track conditions requiring aggressive and precise braking. Its ability to mount rapidly in temperature allows the driver to have all the deceleration power from the first turns.

Usefulness and technical information

These platelets are essential wear elements to ensure the efficiency of the rear yard. They allow to stabilize the kart in curve input and trigger the necessary drift for optimal placement.

  • Product reference: Afs.01745

  • Stirrup compatibility: CRG Rear V05, V09, V10, V11.

  • Range: Racing (red / soft compound).

  • Usage: Competition and high performance leisure.

  • Performance: Excellent Feeling with the pedal and resistance to the FADING (loss of hot efficiency).

Michel's trick

Michel advises always check the surface condition of your brake discs before mounting these new pads. If your disc has scratches or bruises due to overheating, the red wafer may wear out prematurely without offering its full potential. Michel's tip for a perfect break-in: Perform two or three moderate track towers by applying intermittent and progressive pressures on the brake pedal. This allows you to transfer a thin layer of material to the disk and avoid "glasing" the wafer from the first big attack.

Mounting tutorial: replacement of stirrup pads CRG

  1. Disassembly: Remove the safety pins or holding axes on the rear caliper.

  2. Extraction: Take out the used pads. If they are blocked, use a flat screwdriver to gently pitch them against the piston (be careful not to scratch the disk).

  3. Cleaning: Before inserting the new AFS.01745 pads, use a brake cleaner to remove accumulated carbon dust on the pistons and the interior of the caliper.

  4. Retraction of the pistons: gently push the pistons into their slot to release the space required for the thickness of the new trim.

  5. Installation: Place the new pads in the stirrup, ensuring that the trim is facing the disc.

  6. Securing: Replace the holding axes and fix new safety pins.

  7. Priming: Pump the brake pedal repeatedly until you feel a firm resistance. This allows the pads to be put in contact with the disc before taking the track
