Thanks to the exceptional thermal properties of magnesium, the MXJ rim ensures a Excellent heat dissipation, thus stabilizing the pressure and temperature of your tires throughout the sleeves. It is particularly recommended in the fresh track conditions or when the use of hard gum requires a fast temperature rise and an optimal grip.
Material: High quality magnesium (ultra-light and robust)
Width: 130 mm (standard before)
Fixing distance: Standard 3 holes / 58 mm
Packaging: Sold individually (delivered with its valve and its gripsters / locking screw)
Compatibility: Universal with almost all market chassis hubs (3x58 center distance), With the exception of group chassis CRG (which use a specific fixation distance).
"Hi the pistards! The MXJ in magnesium is the rim passes everywhere as soon as the track lacks a little grip or it is fresh. On the other hand, attention to magnesium: it is a noble material but which does not like stagnant moisture. \ N \ NMON TIP When you change your tires: Always put a small dry cloth stroke inside the rim to remove mounting paste and moisture residues. And when screwing the retention gripsters (the small screws for not that the tire Allay), go Mollo at the tightening, no need to tighten like a deaf on pain of fooling the thread in the magnesium!"
Lubricate the heels slightly from your front tire with specific mounting paste for karting. Thread the tire on the MXJ rim respecting the direction of rotation indicated on the side of the gum.
Inflate the tire until the heels come to clip perfectly on the edges of the rim. Warning: Never exceed the maximum pressure recommended by the tire manufacturer for this operation.
Once the tire is perfectly clipped and in place, gently screw the Gripsters screws (provided) into their housings provided on the rim side to block the tire heel.
Clean the support face of your front hub. Place the rim on the 3 studs (3x58 mm distance). Tighten the 3 crossed and uniform wheel nuts, ideally with a torque wrench to avoid distorting magnesium.
Q: Why is this rim not compatible with the group chassis CRG ?
A: The group CRG (Also including Maranello, Dino, etc.) brands historically use a different drilling distance for its front hubs. Rims OTK have a standard 3-hole center center center centerpiece, incompatible with hubs CRG specific.
Q: What is the difference between the rim OTK MXJ and the MXC model?
A: The mxj rim is the standard "versatile" model, ideal for generating rapidly grouped grip or slippery. The MXC model is more typical for highly elanted high heat or track conditions ("absolute grip") to prevent the tire from overheating.
Q: Is the rim delivered ready to rise?
A: Yes, every rim OTK MXJ 130 mm is delivered complete with its tubeless valve installed as well as its heel locking screws (Gripsters) and their seals.
