📖 The small story: the bet of the engineer
It was at a heated meeting at the Zamp Racing headquarters in the United States. Engineers had the results of the tests of future high-end helmet. The Technical Director, frustrated, tape of the fist on the table: "That's good, but it's not enough. The GT and Rally pilots all complain about the same thing: at the end of the race, they are exhausted by weight, and the fog is a hell. We need a helmet that breathes fresh air and as light as a feather, without sacrificing SNELL SA2025 security !"
The young chief engineer, barely out of the university but already passionate motor sports, speak: "And if we re-pending everything ? We use ultra-light composite materials for aerospace. Let's create a Hybrid Case Aramid Mix and invent a 360-degree air pipe system that does not require huge external air intakes."
The project "F" (for future and strength) was launched. Months of CFD simulations and blower tests followed. They have developed the DDair-System and have combined it with a modular upper air system. The design of the chinger was drawn to split the air while protecting the face of projections on Earth.
The first prototype was entrusted to a factory driver during the 24 hours of Daytona. At his descent of car, he said: "I never felt that. The helmet is so light that I forgot that it was there after 3 hours of relay. And above all, not a fog ounce. This is the new standard."
