FIA hood Alpinestars ZX EVO V3

The Hood Alpinestars ZX EVO V3 is manufactured in Lenzing ™ en, an innovative fiber of viscose produced in a sustainable way offering exceptional resistance to flames and heat protection. Designed according to the specifications of Formula 1, this flame retardant sub-layer is extremely light and fine, while remaining incredibly soft to the touch for optimal driver comfort.

Innovative technology Lenzing ™ en, developed by Alpinestarsis a natural cellulosic fiber having unique properties of thermal insulation and permanent resistance to flames, helping to prevent thermal stress and risks associated with intense heat in the race. The hood offers a soft feel feel that significantly improves the driver comfort, even during the longest and demanding sessions.

Extensible mesh construction at the mouth and back of the head ensures improved air circulation and ventilation, while the double thickness facial area provides additional protection. An opening at the mouth allows the passage of a hydration tube to stay properly powered during the stroke.

Flat seams minimize pressure points, and light and seamless design ensures optimum fit and maximum comfort. The Lenzing ™ F fiber, combined with the internal structure of the fabric, helps to evacuate the moisture of the skin and maintain the pilot at the expense longer. The hood displays a weight of 205 g / m² and is approved according to the standards FIA 8856-2018 and SFI 3.3, ensuring protection and reliability that meets the most demanding competition standards.
