Full description of the product (H1: FREELINE rear brake brake piston 32 x 24.5 mm - Birel ART / CL KART)

The fREELINE BRAKE CLAIR PISTON (dimensions 32 x 24.5 mm) is a high precision spare parts of origin of original manufacturer (Original Freeline / Birel Art). It is designed to equip the rear brake calipers from the group's adult competition chassis Birel ART (notably the series of stirrups equipping the categories Rotax, X30, ok and kz).

Machined according to strict micrometric tolerances, this piston of 32 mm in diameter for a height of 24.5 mm enjoys a leading thermal and anti-friction surface treatment. In karting, the rear braking system undergoes violent temperature mounted (sometimes more 400 ° C on the disk). This factory piston is specially treated to withstand the thermal deformation, ensure a perfect linear guidance in the bracket of the stirrup and guarantee an instantaneous pedal return without blocking.

Technical characteristics:

  • Outside diameter: 32 mm

  • Total height: 24.5 mm

  • Material: Aeronautical alloy / ultra-light treated steel with high heat dissipation

  • Location: Main rear brake caliper

  • Chassis compatibility: Birel Art, CL Kart (Charles Leclerc Racing), Ricciardo Kart, Kubica, LGK

  • Origin: Certified Freeline Original (Compliance and Security Guarantee)

- 3. Tip in Michel (the corner of the expert)

* "Hi Late braking Aces! The 32 mm caliper piston is the muscle of your rear brake. If your brakes have taken a big hot shot or that you have rolled in the rain without cleaning the caliper, the burned wafer dust seeps and Comes scratching the surface of the piston. A striped or marked piston is the beginning of the trouble: it will grip, stay blocked against the straight line (which makes you lose rush speed), or fling your new joints.

My trick of old mechanic for reassembly: we never go up a new piston to dry or in force.

Before sliding it into its home, inspect the inside of the caliper to verify that there is no burr. Clean all the brake degreaser, systematically change your cup seals by new, and brush the 32x24.5 mm piston flank with clean brake fluid (DOT 4 or DOT 5.1) or a special lithium fat (red grease for brakes). Put on it right in hand: it must slide firmly but fully fluid, without any hard point. If you have to tap on with a hammer to come back, it's because you put it through. Stop right away, otherwise he is dead! "*

- 4. The installation guide: step by step

1.Demontage of the stirrup:10 min.

Place the kart on his carriage. Drain the rear brake circuit. Remove the brake caliper from the chassis, remove the pads and separate the half-shells if necessary to access the pistons.

2.Extraction of the marked piston:5 min.

Take out the old used or striped piston by sending compressed air by the brake fluid supply port (be careful not to pinch your fingers during expulsion!).

3.Nettoyage and lubrication:5 min.

Clean the bore of the caliper meticulously. Replace the internal seal (cup). Take the original Freeline Piston and apply the Tip to Michel by soaking it with clean brake fluid to facilitate insertion.

4.Insertion, reassembly and purge:10 min.

Push the 32mm piston straight to the hand to the bottom of its housing. Reassemble the caliper, go back to the chassis with your platelets. Fill the jar and perform a complete and thorough purge of the circuit to hunt all air bubbles.

- 5. SEO FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: This 32x24.5 mm piston is suitable for brake calipers before KAZ karts ?

A: Not. KZ front stirrups use much smaller diameter pistons (usually 22 mm or 24 mm) for assaying the braking distribution. This large 32 mm model is exclusively reserved for the braking system of the back shaft.

Q: Is the piston sold to unity or pair ?

A: This product is sold to the unit. This allows you to replace only damaged or marked piston in a specific mechanical problem without additional cost. If you do the complete nine caliper, consider controlling the quantity needed (usually 2 or 4 pistons depending on the model of your rear caliper).

Q: Are the seals included with the piston ?

A: No, the piston is delivered alone, complying with the Freeline factory nomenclature. To ensure perfect sealing and quality work, we strongly recommend that you buy the 32 mm calm seals kit extra when replacing the piston.
