Full description of the product (H1: FREELINE official repair kit for rear brake caliper RR-FL01 I32X2 - Birel Art)

The repair kit for brake caliper RR-FL01 (I32x2) is a set of sealing seals of origin manufacturer (Original Freeline / Birel Art). This targeted kit is specially designed to recondition the main hydraulic brake brake caliper who equips the majority of the group's adult competition chassis Birel ART (Rotax, X30, ok, kz).

As can be seen on the reference image 12820.jpg, This pack specifically includes essential elements to restore the internal hydraulic pressure of your caliper: 4 main sealing cups to house the 32 mm diameter pistons (double piston system per half-shell or 4-piston caliper), as well as the fine Section O-ring ensuring the tightness of the passage of liquid between the two blocks of the caliper.

Fabricated in an ethylene-propylene rubber (EPDM) of competition quality, these factory joints support extreme liquid temperatures without expanding or disintegrating, guaranteeing a total sealing and a perfect return of the Pistons after each braking.

COMPOSITION OF THE KIT (VISUAL reference 12820.jpg):

  • 4x Piston Seals (Square Section Cups): Suitable for 32 mm diameter pistons.

  • 1x inter-shell sealing seal: For the passing channel of the brake fluid.

  • Range: Freeline of origin (factory Birel Art)

  • Chassis compatibility: Birel Art, CL Kart (Charles Leclerc), Ricciardo Kart, Kubica, Compkart

- 3. Tip in Michel (the corner of the expert)

* "Hi the artists of the trajectory! When your rear brake pedal becomes soft as a sponge or you see a slight oily fat at the platelets, no doubt: the seals of your caliper RR-FL01 have cooked. With the discs that rise to more than 350 ° C, the rubber ends up losing its elasticity.

My unmissable trick for successful assembly: ban the iron tools to handle the new seals of the photo 12820.jpg. If you use a screwdriver or cutter to position the 32 mm cups in their gorges, you may make a micro-notch invisible to the naked eye on the lip. Result? Leakaged to the first big braking! Handmade or with a rounded plastic tool.

Another crucial point: perfectly clean the brake cleaner's thirteenth gorges to remove the old crust of inlaid platelet dust. Before sliding the new seals and your pistons, lubricate the whole with clean brake fluid (DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 according to your circuit). It must go back as in butter, without forcing. If you go up that dry, the seal will turn around at first pedal and you will be good to start again! "*

- 4. The Installation & Refurbishment Guide: Step by Step

1. The opening of the stirrup:10 min.

Put the kart on trolley and dismount the left rear wheel. Drain the brake fluid circuit. Remove the stirrup RR-FL01 of the chassis. Unscrew the main assembly screws to open the stirrup in half half shells.

2.Extraction and cleaning:10 min.

Take out the 32 mm pistons by injuring compressed air by the liquid orifice (beware of your fingers). Remove the old used cups. Meticulously clean the interior of the hulls on the brake cleanser and dry at the blower.

3.Installation new joints:10 min.

Take the seals of the kit 12820.jpg. Apply the trick to Michel: Vacing the brake fluid cups and gently insert them into their gorges. Returns the straight pistons by pushing them to the bottom.

4.Assemblage and complete purge:10 min.

Place the small sealing O-ring (included in the photo 12820.jpg) On the link channel between half shells. Close the stirrup, tighten the screws to the torque, reassemble it on the kart with the pads and proceed with a careful purge of the brake circuit.

❓ 5. FAQ SEO (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: Does this kit suit the refurbishment of brake calipers before on a Kart KZ ?

A: Not. KZ front calipers use pistons of smaller diameters (often from 22 mm or 24 mm). This freeline kit is configured for the rear caliper RR-Fl01 with pistons of 32 mm.

Q: Are the spare pistons included in this bag ?

A: Not. As indicated by the photo 12820.jpg, This kit comprises exclusively the flexible sealing elements (4 piston cups and 1 junction seal). If your 32 mm pistons are highly scratched or corroded, they must be purchased separately.

Q: Can I use classic grease to install these joints ?

A: Especially not! Standard mineral fats swell and destroy the brake seals in EPDM in a few hours. Use only clean brake fluid (identical to that of your circuit) or a specific mounting grease for brakes (red lithium grease).
