This specialized tool is designed exclusively for the extraction and maintenance of pistons on the KB100, KB101, KB110 and KB111 brake brake calipers. Unlike a standard DIY wheel wrench, this precision tool has lugs or geometry suitable for specific notches on the face of the Pistons of the MagickArt range.

The use of this professional tool makes it possible to intervene on the braking system without risking the internal cylinder of the caliper or to mark the contact surface of the piston. It is the essential accessory for performing a clean and fast hydraulic revision, ensuring the integrity of the Kart security components.

Usefulness and technical information

The tool makes it possible to apply a control torque mastered to unscrew or extract the pistons, even when they are slightly seized by heat or platelet residues.

  • Compatibility: Caliper Magickart Models KB100, KB101, KB110 and KB111.

  • Material: High resistance steel treated against corrosion.

  • Function: Extraction facilitated pistons without heavy hydraulic disassembly and secure manipulation when replacing seals.

  • Accuracy: Perfect fit in piston housing to prevent slip from the tool during effort.

Michel's trick

Michel always uses this tool with a two-step approach. If the piston seems blocked, he advises never to force by jerk. Apply constant pressure after spraying a bit of dripping on the periphery of the piston and let it take a few minutes. Michel's extra trick: Once the piston is released, enjoy the jack offered by the key to rotate the piston when cleaning, this allows you to check that there is no hard point on all its circumference before reassembling the new joints.

Mounting tutorial: use of the piston revision key

  1. Disassembling platelets: Remove the brake pads to release total access to the face of the piston.

  2. Implementation: Insert the lugs of the precision key into the orifices or notches provided for this purpose on the piston head. Make sure the tool is flat and perfectly engaged.

  3. Extraction: Exercise slow rotation to unlock the piston. If you perform a complete review, gently pull towards you while turning to extract the piston from its housing.

  4. Maintenance: Once the piston removed, clean the caliper.

  5. Resting: After installing the new joints, present the piston straight. Use the key to guide the piston and push it back to the bottom of its slot without exerting lateral pressure that could pinch the new seal.

  6. Check: Press the empty brake control (no platelets, but with a hold) to check that the piston slides freely under the action of the key.
