Michel's Council (Magickart) : Kit revision BSD caliber OTK

"The BSD system is surgically accurate, but it is very sensitive to brake dust and moisture. During the revision of your caliper, the classic error is to raise the seals to dry. My expert advice: Always use a little clean brake fluid (DOT 4 or 5.1 depending on your recommendation) to lubricate new joints before reinserting the pistons. This avoids pinching them or returning them to assembly.

Take advantage of this to inspect the surface of your pistons: if they are marked or scratched, the joint kit alone will not be enough to guarantee the seal. A complete review every two seasons (or every year in intense competition) is the secret to keep a firm pedal and a constant attack, without ever going through 'fading' at the end of the final."
