- Full description of the product exhaust pipe TM SPECIAL D2 - 28mm - Original collector for KZ engines

Optimize the gase sweep and refine the chord of your exhaust gap thanks to the official exhaust pipe TM Kart model special D2 - 28mm. Strategic part at the outlet of the cylinder, this machined steel collector determines the fluid dynamics and the behavior of your 6-speed 125cc engine.

Developed by the Italian Factory Race Service TM Kart, the Declination Special D2 in 28 mm offers a perfectly adjusted flange geometry to release the gas vein at high speed while preserving the low and mid-diet torque. Specifically designed for generations KZ10C, KZ-R1, KZ-R2 and the latest KZ-R3, she is also perfectly adaptable on previous blocks KZ10 and KZ10B. Its high precision manufacture guarantees an ideal alignment with the exhaust light of the cylinder and an exceptional resistance to repeated thermal shocks.

👨🔧 Tip in Michel (the corner of the expert)

* "Hi the kings of the carburation! The exhaust pipe d2 of 28 mm is called in preparation a 'chord'. On a KZ motor (KZ10 at the last R3), the length and diameter of this collector directly modify when the moment. Return wave of your pot comes to charge the cylinder.

My stand mechanical trick for a waterproof and powerful mounting: high temperature joint dough and new springs !

When mounting this pipe on your cylinder, do not forget to use a new exhaust seal and applying a fine high temperature special silicone seal fillet (copper or black paste type 300 ° C). It avoids the ugly black soot leaks that come to dirty the bas-engine and distort your carburation settings !

Second Paddock Tip: Systematically check the status of your pot springs when connecting the exhaust jar to the 28 mm flange. If your springs are relaxed, the pot will vibrate against the D2 collector and end up ovalizing the interlocking. A well-sealed connection and well maintained, it is the assurance of keeping all the power of your TM at the output of pin! "*

📐 - Installation & Replacement Guide: Step by Step

Put the kart on his carriage. Pick up the pot holders with a spring pull. Remove the exhaust pot to nake the old manifold.

2.Deposit of the used collector:3 min.

Unscrew the fastening hardware from the collector to the cylinder flange. Remove the pipe and thoroughly clean the seal range on the cylinder with brake cleaner and a clean cloth.

3.Installation tM SPECIAL D2 28mm pipe:5 min.

Follow the tip in Michel: Install a new flange gasket with a high temperature joint paste. Position the TM SPECIAL D2 pipe and tighten the cross in the recommended torque.

4.EmboPot and control:2 min.

Reassemble your exhaust pot on the 28 mm collector. Replace pot springs in good condition. Make sure the cottage is perfectly aligned and without mechanical constraint.

❓ - FAQ SEO (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: What is the specificity of the "SPECIAL D2 - 28mm" version compared to other TM pipes ?

A: The different variations of exhaust pipes (D1, D2, D3 ...) and their lengths (26mm, 28mm, 30mm ...) allow to change the volume of the exhaust elbow. The version Special D2 in 28 mm offers a highly appreciated balanced profile in competition, offering an excellent compromise between low-speed recovery and lightening straight line.

Q: Is this pipe 28 mm compatible with the latest TM KZ-R3 engine ?

A: Yes, absolutely. The TM Special D2 collector is of origin compatible with all the modern engines of the brand: KZ10C, KZ-R1, KZ-R2 and KZ-R3, as well as in retro-compatibility on models KZ10 and KZ10B.

Q: Should the carburation change when changing exhaust pipe ?

A: If you replace an identical worn pipe, no carburation changes are required. On the other hand, if you change the model or length of your collector (for example from a short model to a long model), the exhaust convention is slightly modified: so it is advisable to monitor the color of your bougie in the first track towers to adjust your main jet if needed.
