The external cylinder head seal is a high diameter o-ring that ensures the peripheral sealing between the cylinder and cylinder head cover on the latest generation TM Racing motors (KZ10C, R1, R2). Unlike the internal seal (which seals the combustion chamber), the mission is to contain the coolant and to avoid any leakage to the outside of the engine.
The internal cylinder head is the most demanded element of your high engine. Located at the point of contact between the cylinder head dome (insert) and the cylinder, it has the critical role of sealing the combustion chamber.
This seal in Viton High Performance is the standard for the entire line of TM Racing competition engines, including the last born: the TM R3. It must withstand colossal pressures and extreme burned gas temperatures. A seal in perfect condition is the only guarantee of constant motor power and protection against coolant intrusion into the cylinder.
