The crankshaft is the most demanded element of your mechanics:
Transformation of the movement: It converts the linear movement of the piston into rotary motion to drive the transmission (the pinion).
Dynamic balancing: Unlike low-end models, the crankshaft EVO origin is balanced with extreme accuracy to reduce vibrations, which protects your bearings and your engine crankcase.
Optimized inertia: The weight and distribution of the masses are calculated to offer the best compromise between a dazzling rise and a stable torque at the point of turn.
High resistance rod: The kit includes the reinforced EVO rod, capable of collecting the combustion pressures without deformation, even in intensive use of competition.
"Attention guys, the crankshaft, it's not a piece of ordinary scrap, it's watchmaking! If you have had a motor break or a big tightening, always check the roundout (the veil) of your vilo. If it is no longer perfectly right, it will destroy the crankcase bearings in two sessions. My advice: Never try to repair yourself with a mallet. A vilo Rotax Evo, it rises with new bearings (ref 6206) and above all, we never force on the bristles during the assembly! "
Preparation of housings: Before setting the crankshaft, heat your housings to insert the bearings effortlessly. The crankshaft must enter without constraint.
Lubrication: Generously hose the connecting rod, the coat and the connecting head with 2T mixing oil before closing the engine. A dry start is fatal.
Lateral game control: Once the housing is closed, check that the crankshaft turns freely by hand. There must be no hard point.
Centering: A slight shot of rubber mallet on the ends of the bristles (with the appropriate tool) sometimes allows to release the voltages after tightening the housings.
