If you mount the 'hard' air box directly on the metal support, the vibrations of the engine will literally disintegrate the plastic from the air box into a few sessions. My Pro Council: Always check the status of your airbox silentblocks at the same time as the support. If they are cracked or too soft, change them: it is a derisory investment to protect a motor that is expensive. "
