Sold by 3 nuts
In karting, the wheel is subject to permanent shocks and twists. This nut is designed to answer it:
Self-braking system: Prevents any accidental loosening due to vibrations of the engine or repeated passages on the vibrators.
Integrated base: The wide collar (base) serves as a washer. It distributes the tightening force on a larger surface of the rim, thus avoiding to mark the aluminum or the magnesium of your wheels.
High resistance steel: Designed to withstand frequent montages and disassemblies without the threading elongation or the hex footprint breaks out.
Universal standard: Compatible with the majority of market hubs (OTK, CRG, Sodi, Tony Kart, etc.) using 8 mm studs.
"Listen to me well: the wheel nuts, it's your only life insurance on the track! If you lose one, you finish in the tires. My Pro Council: Never uses standard DIY nuts without brake, they will not hold 5 turns. And a Golden Rule: When the braking ring becomes too much 'soft' and you can screw the nut by hand to the end, it is dead. Trash! We do not play with safety for the price of a nut. Ah, and a small metal brush. Goujons from time to time, it has never hurt anyone!"
Approach: Present the rim on the hub and screw the 3 nuts by hand to avoid crossing the nets.
Star tightening: Use a 13 mm key and gradually tighten the three nuts one after the other so that the rim is flat flat on the hub.
Tightening torque: Do not tighten as a deaf! Farm tightening is enough. Too much tighten can stretch the stud or veiling the bearing plane of the rim.
Verification: Between each handle, go around the kart with your key to 13. It is the basic reflex of any good mechanic.
Thread: M8 (not standard)
Footprint: Hexagonal (key of 13)
Type: In base (wide collar)
Usage: Fixing front and rear rims
Note Magickart: Sold in unit or batch. We advise you to always have a bag of 10 in advance in your field fund: it is the room that is lost most easily in the grass or gravels!
