"In a KZ engine, the selection is subjected to permanent shocks. My expert advice: the spring door (no.20) is used by friction over time. If you feel your speeds become 'floated' or they find it difficult to lock, check the condition of these small caps.

The essentials with your door spring (n°20):

• Spring selection (n°19): They work together. If you change the spring door, also replace the springs to regain an original tension.

• Selection clicks (#21 & 22): Make sure they're not marked where the door comes out to lean.

• Box oil Lexoil : A clean oil limits the wear of these small precision parts.

A little pro secret: When winding, put a drop of box oil on the spring door before inserting it. This facilitates the initial slide and avoids dry marking during the first speeds. At Magickart, it is advisable to always have two in advance in its engine toolbox, because it is a tiny piece that is easily lost during dismantling!"

Tuto : Assembly of the selection mechanism

1. Cleaning: Make sure the accommodation in the selection tree is perfectly clean and without silt.

2. Assembly order: First insert the spring (n°19), then place the spring door (n°20) above.

3. Implementation: Position the ratchets (n°21/22) by slightly compressing the set.

4. Test: Turn the mechanism by hand to check that nothing blocks before closing your housing.
