📖 The small story: the radical design

The 32Five team, composed of passionate drivers, has always been a mission to create the perfect equipment for karting, combining bold style and advanced technology. After the success of their collections of gloves, they listened to the returns of the community: "We love the gloves ! When is the matching hood for being really coordinated ?."

The founder of 32Five, an admitted perfectionist, did not just want to print a logo on a standard hood. "If we make a hood, it must be as technical and comfortable as our gloves. She must not be just a piece of fabric."

They passed months to test different materials and cuts. They wanted a fabric that wicks moisture without irritating the skin, especially after several hours under a helmet. They opted for an ultra-light powerful polyester. Especially, they noted the challenge of creating a "seamless" flat seam to avoid unpleasant discovering points on the forehead, a frequent complaint of pilots.

"Michel, our equipment expert, recommends: a clean hood, it's a question of hygiene and comfort, especially in a rental helmet or shared. To prolong the life of your 32Five hood and keep the technical properties of the polyester, Wash it by hand with warm water with a mild soap. Avoid the dryer that can alter the seams. Remember to have a spare for hot days !

Thanks to its high-end performer polyester design and flat seams, it is designed to offer a seamless adjustment under any helmet (karting or auto,) without creating even extra thickness or unpleasant discover points on the forehead or temples.

Q: Does the fabric hold hot? Is it breathable ?A: The hood is designed to be ultra-light and breathable. Its main function is not hot (except protection against the wind,) but to ensure an excellent moisture management by evacuating perspiration. It keeps you dry and cool, even during intense hot weather.

Q: How to maintain my 32Five hood ?A: To preserve the technical qualities of the polyester and the elasticity of the tissue, it is recommended from the hand wash only, with warm water with a mild soap. Avoid dry cleaning, the bleach and especially the tumble dryer. Have free air.

Q: Does the hood suit adults and children ?A: It is designed as a model Unisex & One Size (One Size Fits All). It adapts to the vast majority of adult head towers. For very young children (minimal,) it could be slightly big, but it is generally well adjusted once the headset threads.
