Full description: what is the purpose of this piece?

The cylinder head (ref. 211225) Fills critical technical functions for your kart's performance:

  1. Universal compatibility: This room is designed to fit all cylinders Rotax 125cc. That you rout National, Senior or Queen Category DD2It is the standard piece that guarantees the respect of the certification sheet.

  2. Cooling management: As a "cylinder head covers", it creates a waterproof chamber allowing the heat fluid to circulate. It is she evacuating the calories produced by the explosion, thus protecting the piston and the cylinder against the risk of clamping.

  3. Sealing and compression: It ensures the mechanical maintenance of the combustion dome. Its design allows a uniform distribution of the clamping force on the O-rings, guaranteeing optimum engine compression without liquid leakage.

  4. Anchor points: It integrates the thread for the bougie, the water outlet fitting and the location for the temperature sensor (essential for monitoring on DD2).

💡 Michel's trick

"Attention guys, whether on a standard max or a DD2, the cylinder head undergoes the same constraints. If you switch from one engine to another, check that your Water fittings are oriented in common sense for your hoses! My advice: On the DD2, the vibrations are different due to the change of reports, so check the tightening of the cylinder head regularly. If it is loosen a little, it's the drowning of the insured dome! "

🎓 TUTO: mounting on Rotax MAX & DD2

  1. Preparation: Clean the cylinder seal plans. Place the small seal of 64mm and the large 105mm.

  2. Setting up: Place the red bolt. On Dd2, check that the passage of the hoses does not create tension on the cylinder head.

  3. Cross clamping: Approach the nuts by hand, then use a torque wrench for a tightening to 30 nm.

  4. Purge of the system: Once the circuit is filled, slightly tilt the kart (or use the purge screw if present on your model) to chase all air bubbles. A bubble of air in the cylinder head of a DD2 in full charge, and it is the immediate overheating!
