The Magnesium disc holder is a high performance piece designed for competition frames using a back tree of 40 mm. The choice of magnesium is not aesthetic: it allows a considerable weight gain with respect to aluminum, reducing the gyroscopic effect for faster rotation and a better agility of the rear yard.
Its structure is studied to maximize the flow of air, providing a function autoventilée which helps to dissipate the heat of 180 mm disk during repeated and intensive braking.

"Skip on magnesium, it's the detail that shows that you spend a course in the preparation. My expert advice: Magnesium is more efficient but also more sensitive. Do not tighten as a deaf! Use a torque wrench to not split the disc holder.
Indispensable with your magnesium disk holder:
180 mm brake disc (cast iron or steel): Check the wear of your current disk before mounting. A veiled disc would vibrate your beautiful new disk carrier.
New fixing screws: It is always recommended that you use new screws with net (Loctite) brake to secure the disc on the media.
Clavette of 8 mm: Make sure your key is perfectly adjusted, without play, to prevent mechanical shocks with each braking.
A small procy of Pro: To keep the 'factory' aspect, clean it only for the brake cleaner and avoid acidic products that could attack the surface treatment. At Magickart, we know that every gram gained on the back tree translates into less tenths on the chrono! "
