Presentation: the protection of your radiator
The Anti-vibration gum Rotax (Often called rubber or silent block washer) is the buffer element between the radiator fastening tabs and the engine support or the chassis. Without this part, the high frequency vibrations of the motor are transmitted directly to the radiator aluminum, causing irreparable cracks.

Mounting "Sandwich": The correct assembly generally requires two gums by attachment point (one on each side of the radiator tab) for total insulation.

Moderate tightening: Do not tighten the bottom nut until the rubber completely crush. The silent block must remain slightly elastic to play its shock absorber role.

Visual control: Inspect these gums with each revision. If the rubber is cracked, dry or spluffed, replace it immediately.

"A radiator pierced because of a vibration, it is a spoiled session and an invoice. The trick: If your silent blocks are too old, they become hard as stone and do not use anything anymore. My Pro Council: When mounting, spend a small silicone spray shot on the gum. This prevents the rubber from sticking to the metal and extends its life to the UV and the heat heat! "

Q: How many gums should be for a complete radiator? A: Generally, a standard mounting uses 4 gums (2 at the top, 2 down) to ensure a perfect suspension of the radiator.
