The Reference Kit Reference KB113-E2 is an essential technical maintenance set for the front braking system Speed E2. This kit helps restore all the hydraulic performance of the front brackets, ensuring a constant braking power and precise feeling at the pedal, essential for the curve entries in competition.

With constant exposure to high temperatures and track dust, the internal sealing elements undergo natural wear. Regular replacement of KB113-E2 kit components prevents the risk of leakage, seizure of "foam" pistles or pedal, thus ensuring maximum track safety.

Usefulness and technical information

This kit is designed exclusively for the stirrups of the range Speed E2 used on many competition chassis.

  • Product reference: Kb113-e2

  • Compatibility: Front brake calipers Speed Model E2.

  • Type content: Main seals (cups), dust protection joints and liquid passage joints.

  • Quality: High performance elastomers resistant to corrosive fluids and extreme temperature rise.

The role of this kit is to ensure the perfect sealing between the pistons and the body of the stirrup, allowing a fluid movement and an effective recall of the platelets after each solicitation.

Michel's trick

Michel advises to enjoy the disassembly to carefully inspect the bore of the stirrup. If you notice gum or calamine deposits, use only a brake cleaner and a soft toothbrush or a soft cloth to clean the grooves. Never use a metal tool or abrasive paper on the contact areas of the joints, otherwise to make the stirrup fury irreversibly. For perfect winding, Michel applies a very fine brake fluid film on the seals to facilitate the insertion of the pistons without pinching.

Mounting tutorial: revision of the stirrup Speed E2

  1. Disassembling the circuit: Disconnect the brake hoses and remove the bracket from its support. Empty the used liquid in a suitable container.

  2. Extraction of pistons: take out the pistons gently. If extraction is difficult, use a specific piston clamp or moderate air pressure (plug one side to get the other out alternately).

  3. Withdrawal of the old components: Remove the old used joints using a non-contaminating plastic tool for not marking internal surfaces.

  4. Full cleaning: generously spray brake cleaner into all cavities. Dry compressed air to remove all traces of moisture or residues.

  5. Installing the KB113-E2 Kit: Position the new flat seals in their respective grooves after lubricating them. Insert the pistons manually by exerting a straight pressure.

  6. Reassembly and purge: Reassemble the bracket on the hub holder. Reconnect the hydraulic circuit and perform rigorous purge of the system. Check the absence of pressure leak before taking the track.
