Set Wheels Electra rain 130 -180 mm

The Electra rain rim set (130 mm in front and 180 mm in rear) is specially designed to optimize kart behaviour in wet runway conditions. Manufactured aluminium, these rims offer an excellent compromise between lightness, resistance and consistency of performance in the rain.

Why are the rear rims narrower in rain?

In rain configuration, rear rims are usually narrower (180 mm instead of 210 mm dry) for several technical reasons:

• Reduced contact surface: the narrower rim clamps the rain tire further, improving penetration into the water and limiting waterplaning.

• Faster temperature rise: the tire reaches its optimal operating range in cold conditions faster.

• Better motor: Optimized tire deformation increases mechanical adhesion.

• Freer Kart: Improves rotation and handling in the rain.
