The Cobra Electra sprocket is CNC-machined from 7075 Ergal, a very strong aluminium alloy, with T6 heat treatment. Its structural cut-outs lighten the part, reduce the gyroscopic effect and help the engine rev up. Its surface is anodised, which protects it from corrosion.

"7075-T6 Ergal is the best there is for weight-to-strength ratio. My expert advice: a high-end sprocket like the Cobra Electra deserves a chain in perfect condition. Never fit a new sprocket with a stretched or 'tight-spot' chain (seized links): you would destroy the anodising and the teeth in a single session.

A pro secret: laser alignment with your front sprocket is crucial. Because this sprocket is very rigid, poor alignment will not forgive and will cause asymmetric wear. Spray your chain grease from the inside of the sprocket just before leaving for the pre-grid: centrifugal force does the rest, lubricating every tooth perfectly during your warm-up lap."
