"Michel, our chassis expert, recommends: A slightly bent pivot axle, even imperceptibly to the naked eye, can cause understeer or oversteer problems and wear your tires unevenly. During each major service, check that the axle slides freely through its bushings (or bearings) without the slightest tight spot. For optimal assembly, apply a thin layer of grease or dry lubricant to the axle shaft to facilitate movement and protect against corrosion. Also remember to use a new self-locking nut (Nyloc type) to ensure that the axle does not loosen on track."
