Even if we do not see it more once the engine is closed, this pawn fills critical functions:
Geometric alignment: It deletes the "game" between the mounting screws and the holes of the housing. It guarantees that the left crankcase and the right housing form a perfectly symmetrical set.
Bearings protection: By perfectly aligning both sides, it avoids that the crankshaft does not work "through". A bad alignment, even a tenth of a millimeter, would heat up and destroy your bearings in record time.
Sealing the seal plane: By preventing any lateral sliding from the housings at the time of clamping, it ensures that the seal (paper or paste) is uniformly crushed, thus avoiding the air intakes or oil leaks.
Precision machining: Made of hardened steel, it does not deform under pressure and allows successive disassemblies / invalid up without losing its accuracy.
"It's the piece we forget once on two on the workplace! Listen well: if you go back your low motor and you have a pawn of 8x12 in your rail box, you restart immediately. Without these pawns, your engine will never be aligned, and you will ask you why you lose power or why your bearings grow. My little tip: before closing, checks that they are sorry for their accommodation. And if a pawn is marked or flattened because it has been pinched, throw it and put in a new one, it costs anything three times! "
Location: The pawns are generally placed at the two opposite ends of the housings (often near the cylinder studs or at the bottom of the block).
Cleaning: Make sure the reception wells in the aluminum housings are perfectly clean. A small filled in the bottom can prevent the pawn from going down and create a fatal extra thickness.
Insertion: The pawn must enter fat in the first crankcase. If it force too, do not type as a deaf: clean the hole with gasoline.
Assembly: Present the second half-crankcase. The pawns must guide the assembly. Once the housings are attached, they should no longer be able to slide from each other before even put the screws.
Dimensions: Diameter 8 mm / length 12 mm
Material: High precision rectified steel
Compatibility: All engines Rotax Max (Micro, Mini, Junior, Senior, Master, DD2)
Note Magickart: Sold individually. A motor Rotax usually requires 2 pieces For a complete alignment of the low engine.
piston TM Racing 10085 Represents the elite of engine technology for KZ categories. Designed specifically for the last generations of engines (KZ10C until R2), this model to Flat sky (zero degrees) is the absolute weapon to optimize combustion. Equipped with a Eightened segment of 0.8 mmIt drastically reduces internal friction, releasing more power at high speed.
The Valve box cover (or intake conveyor) of 29 mm is the major technical evolution of the X30 engines since 2018. Located between the carburetor and the pyramid of valves, its role is to "guide" the vein gas aerodynamically. Its 29 mm inner conduit is perfectly aligned with the new carburetors, eliminating turbulence for more frank acceleration and maximum engine fill.
The game of 0.30 mm fiber valves is the standard for motorizations Iame. Unlike carbon which is more rigid, the fiberglass in 0.30 mm offers excellent reactivity to the opening, which greatly promotes the Couple at low and mid-speed. It is the ideal choice for winding tracks where the turn output revival is crucial, or for pilots seeking a more stable and less sensitive carburation.
The Complete flap box with carbon flaps is designed for karting engines IME X30 and Ka100. Key element of the intake system, it allows to regulate the air-fuel flow entering the engine to optimize the response to acceleration and overall performance.

The Full flavor box iame is the organ that regulates the entrance to the air-petrol mixture in the low engine. This set includes the box holder (pyramid), high quality fiberglass flaps, stops and fixing hardware. Designed specifically for IAME engines, it ensures total sealing in compression phase and maximum opening when admitting for optimal cylinder filling.
The Full crankcase Rotax black (ref. 296161) Represents the internal chassis of your engine. Designed for versions Evo and the models produced after 2014, this pair of housings (right side and left side) has a high-strength black surface treatment. They are machined together in the factory to ensure perfect crankshaft alignment and transmission shafts, thus ensuring optimal performance and increased longevity.
The Carter Pion 8 x 12 (ref. 229444) is a rectified cylindrical guide sleeve that is between the two half-crankcase. Its role is to ensure a Rigorous alignment two parts of the block during assembly. Without these pawns, it would be impossible to guarantee that the housings of the crankshaft bearings are perfectly face to face, which is vital for the health of your engine.
