"Michel, our chassis expert, recommends: Choosing the rear hub length is an important chassis adjustment in karting. A longer hub tends to stiffen the rear of the kart, increasing grip but potentially causing excessive “grip” (binding). A shorter hub offers more flexibility. For installation, make sure the axle and hub bore are clean and lightly lubricated with a dry lubricant to facilitate fitting and prevent seizing. Tighten the screws evenly."
