This seal spy is not a simple accessory, it fills up two vital functions:

1. CONFINING OF LIQUID: It retains the pressure of the cooling circuit (about 1 bar) to prevent leaks outward or inwardly.

2. Protection of sanding mill: It prevents water from seeping into the clutch housing, which would prematurely destroy your pendulum sprockets and bearings.

3. Resistance to glycol: The seal material is specifically chosen for not degrading in contact with antifreections and cooling additives.

4. Standardized dimensions: Its format 10x26x7 mm is perfectly adapted to the original water pump tree Rotax.

"It's the room that does the most damage if it loose! If you see that your water level drops without apparent leakage, or if your box oil becomes white as milk, not looking: it is this joint that is cooked. My advice of old mechanics: Change the systematically for each high engine revision. It costs three times nothing and it avoids you to fling your plastic gears that do not like water at all. And be careful to assembly: Make sure the pump tree is not 'marked' or dug to where the rubs rub, otherwise the new seal will not hold two sessions! "

🎓 TUTO: Mounting and Maintenance

1. Disassembly: Gently remove the old seal without scratching the aluminum housing with a screwdriver.

2. Tree inspection: Check the status of the water pump shaft. If there is a wear groove, it is recommended to replace the tree at the same time as the seal.

3. Meaning of installation: Generally, we install two joints back to back (or one depending on the versions of housings). The spring must always be oriented towards the fluid it must remember (one side to the water, one side to the oil).

4. Lubrication: Apply a light layer of silicone grease or oil on the inner lip to not burn the seal during the first "dry" startup.
