Carburettor point DELL'ORTO (Ref. 08649) – VHSH

Dell'Orto Point (mark 8 on the broken view) is the organ that regulates the arrival of gasoline in the tank of your carburettor VHSH. Activated by floats, it must ensure a perfect seal once the tank is full. A worn or poor point is the main cause of the gas leaks by the overflow and a "rich" carburation that causes the engine to ratatify at low speed.

• Point joint: Always check the condition of the small seal located under the tip seat when replacing.

• Dell'Orto Floaters: Make sure your floats slide freely on their axes and are not pierced.

• Gasoline filter (No. 48): A clean filter prevents an impurity from settling between the tip and its seat, which would prevent closure.

A little pro secret: To test your new tip, gently blow into the gas supply while keeping the floats in a high-hand position. The air must not pass at all. At Magickart, it is recommended to change the tip at least once a season to ensure a constant carburation."

Tuto: Replacement of VHSH

1. Dismantling: Remove the tank, then remove the float axis (#11) to release the tip.

2. Cleaning: Use brake cleaner to clean the seat (the hole where between the point). That's where dirt often hides.

3. Installation: Hang the new tip on the float tab. Be careful not to twist the tank level adjustment tab.

4. Setting: Reassemble the set and check that floats move freely without any hard points.
