Full description of the product (H1: Revision kit for brake pump / master-cylinder 16mrr - Birel Art)

The revision Kit for Cylinder 16mrr is a hydraulic reconditioning set of origin manufacturer (Original Freeline / Birel Art). This targeted kit makes it possible to renovate the 16 mm diameter brake pump system (MRR model), usually used on the front braking systems of gearbox karts (Kz) or on some specific rear systems of the group Birel Art.

As highlighted the reference image 13479.jpg, This technical bag precisely contains internal wear parts subject to repeated friction and chemical aggression of the brake fluid. Periodic replacement of these components eliminates internal pressure losses, deleting liquid leaks at the pedal linkage and restoring a firm and accurate attack to your hydraulic system.

Internal composition of the kit (visual reference 13479.jpg):

  • 2x Main O-rings Toots: Calibrated profiles for the 16 mm piston to ensure perfect seal under high pressure.

  • 1x Steel reminder spring: Ensures the immediate and fluid return of the piston as soon as the pilot releases the pedal.

  • 1x black safety circlip: Designed to secure the mechanism inside the cylinder.

  • 1x Ring / Button with Black Rubber Guidance: Protects the mechanism and hold the alignment of the thrust rod.

  • System compatibility: FREELINE Master Cylinder Model 16MRR (Chassis Birel Art, CL Kart, Ricciardo, Kubica).

- 3. Tip in Michel (the corner of the expert)

* "Hi the pilotage Aces! The master cylinder 16mrr is a clock room. When you start feeling a blur in the brake pedal, or a small oily fat appears at the cylinder inlet, it is the signal. Alarm: Your joints are tired by temperature mounted and thousands of pads.

My essential trick to install the kit 13479.jpg as a factory mechanic: absolute prohibition of using aggressive metal tools to handle small black seals. If you scratch the internal aluminum of the pump or if you make a micro-notch on the lip of one of the new joints with a screwdriver, your master cylinder will fuck directly. Make assembly on the piston gently by hand.

Before inserting everything, clean the 16 mm internal bore to the brake cleaner, dry to the blower, and then generously brush the piston and new joints with clean brake fluid (DOT 4 or DOT 5.1). It must slip all alone without any hard point. Finally, use a real circlip clamp to house the clip you see in the photo 13479.jpg. Check that it is clipped at its throat before returning the circuit under pressure! "*

- 4. The Rehabilitation Guide: Step by Step

1.Demontage of the pump 16mrr:10 min.

Install the kart on his carriage. Totally drain the brake fluid of the circuit concerned. Disconnect the pedal linkage, unplug the hose connections and remove the chassis master cylinder.

2.Extraction used components:10 min.

Using a circlip clamp, remove the retaining clip at the entrance. Gently release the piston, the old return spring and the used joints.

3.Nettoyage and lubrication:5 min.

Clean the inside of the body of the pump to eliminate the impurities or traces of black friction. Take the new parts of the pack 13479.jpg and apply the trick to Michel by humening the clean brake fluid.

4.Remontage and purge of the circuit:10 min.

Install the new joints on the piston. Insert the new spring to the bottom, push the piston straight and lock the set with the new circlip. Reassemble the pump on the kart, reconnect the hoses and perform a neat purge to hunt air.

❓ 5. FAQ SEO (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: Is this 16 mm kit compatible with 19 mm standard rear brake pumps ?

A: Not. This kit is specifically sized for the series of FREELINE master cylinder cylinders 16mrr (16 mm piston diameter). For larger rear brake pumps in diameter 19 mm, there is another dedicated revision kit.

Q: Is the aluminum piston included in this overhaul bag ?

A: Not. As illustrated in the photo 13479.jpg, This product includes only elastic wear parts, spring and circlip. The original metal piston should be cleaned and reused unless it has deep stripes.

Q: How often does a 16MRR master cylinder be revised ?

A: To maintain optimal safety and constant efficiency in competition, it is recommended to replace the internal joints once per season, or immediately as soon as a spongy sensation is appeared at the pedal.
