Michel's Council (Magickart): Don't burn your chances at the start!

"In KZ, clutching is your best ally... or your worst enemy. My expert advice: A disc must never be mounted 'dry'. If you install new discs, the secret is to let them soak in box oil for 15 to 20 minutes before mounting. This prevents them from burning from the first stop.

The essentials with your disk (n°9) :

  • Smooth discs (n°10): If your smooth discs are blued by heat, they are veiled. Change them at the same time as the garnishes so that the clutch does not graze.

  • Clutch Bell (n°14): Check that the teeth of the trimmed disc do not mark the bell notches too much.

  • Special box oil Clutch: For maximum longevity, use an oil that perfectly manages disk slip.

A little pro secret: At the end of the sleeve, if you feel that your clutch guard has moved, it is that your discs have heated and 'swelled'. At Magickart, it is advisable to measure the thickness of the complete disk pack regularly: as soon as you lose a few tenths, efficiency at the beginning falls!"

Tuto: When to change your records?

  1. The smell: A characteristic burning smell after a missed departure is often a sign of vitrified discs.

  2. Skating: If your engine climbs into the fifth or sixth laps without the speed increasing proportionally, your discs are at the end of life.

  3. Visual inspection: If the black topping becomes brown or crumbles, the replacement is urgent not to pollute the can oil with residues.

Why choose Magickart for your TM Racing parts?

  • Stock Specialist KZ: We know that the season of Ligue Occitanie is demanding, we store your clutch between two ends.

  • Quality Factory: Only original TM discs to avoid neutral or cold bonding problems.
