🛠️ Full description of the product Special screw M7x1x12.5 Reinforcement & clutch shock absorber TM KART - Landmark n ° 12

Secure the dropping system lock from your clutch bell thanks to the special screw M7x1x12.5 mm of origin TM Kart. High strength fastening element, this m7 end-stalk screw is designed to firmly assemble the reinforcing disc (detail 11) and rubbers shock absorber on the clutch bell body.

Identified under the Detail # 12 on the exploded view n ° 2 (TM KZ clutch diagram), this mechanical screw withstands the shear and extreme vibration stresses generated by the 125cc gears motor climbs. It's a specific thread of 1.00 mm and its 12.5 mm useful length ensure perfect anchorage in the hub without risking the pink or internal parts.

Proposed in standard original monte on generations KZ10B, KZ10C, KZ-R1, KZ-R2 and KZ-R3, it is also adaptable on older models (k8 at KZ10) equipped with the update with the new cushion clutch hub.

👨🔧 Tip in Michel (the corner of the expert)

* "Hi the 2-stroke gold! The screw M7x1x12.5 of the reinforcing disc, it is typically the screw never to neglect or replace with a standard BTR screw of DIY! The step of M7 x 1,00 and the head imprint are very specific.

My stand trick for replacing and mounting these M7 screws (detail 12): absolute degreasing, strong net brake and torque tightening !

When you disassemble the bell shock disc, these screws are subject to huge shear stresses at each gas stroke. If only one screw loosens on the track, it rides against the housing or destroy the rubber shock absorbers !

When reassembling:

  1. Clean the M7 tapping in the bell with brake cleaner and a blow gun (there must be no drop of oil).

  2. Systematically apply a drop of forty brake (red) on each new M7 screw.

  3. Tighten the cross screws at the torque wrench. If a screw head is marked during disassembly, change it directly, do not wait for it to be at the next interview! "*

📐 Installation guide: step by step

1.Demontage of the bell:2 min.

Extract the motor clutch bell and remove the assembly to access the fastening face of the reinforcement disc (detail 11).

2.Nettoyage m7 tapping:2 min.

Unscrew the old M7 screws. Massing meticulously internal brake cleaner threads and dry compressed air.

3.Application fillet brake and installation:3 min.

Follow the tip in Michel: Put a strong fly-fillet drop on the new M7x1x12.5 NEIGHT TM KART (detail 12).

4.sertion of security:2 min.

Engage the hardware and gradually tighten the cross to apply the reinforcing disc in a perfectly homogeneous manner to the rubbers. It's locked !

❓ FAQ SEO (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: Why does the TM Kart clutch reinforcement screw use an M7 thread (7 mm) ?

A: The diameter of 7 mm (M7x1.00) offers the perfect compromise between the shear strength of an 8 mm screw and the reduced footprint of a 6 mm screw. This is the standard chosen by TM KART to secure the shock disc to the competition bells.

Q: How many screws M7x1x12.5 should be for a complete TM clutch bell ?

A: The assembly of the reinforcement disc usually requires a complete set of these screws (depending on the number of holes in your bell / reinforcing disk model). It is advisable to replace all the screws when refurbishing the bell.

Q: Is this screw compatible with my TM K9B or KZ10 engine ?

A: Yes, provided your engine K9, K9B, K9C or KZ10 has been updated with the new cushioned hub / clutch bell. It is originated on the KZ10B, KZ10C, KZ-R1, KZ-R2 and KZ-R3 blocks.
