Why look after the condition of this fitting?

1. Precision thread: The thread is designed to fit perfectly with the aluminum housing of the Rotax without risk deteriorating, provided the tightening torque respect.

2. Anti-slip lip: The end of the fitting has a shoulder (bead) that prevents the hose from slipping or disgusting under the effect of circuit pressure (about 1 bar) and vibrations.

3. Corrosion Resistance: Treaty against oxidation, it does not go to prolonged contact of the coolant or additives.

4. Flow optimization: Internal bore is polished to minimize turbulence and ensure that the water pump always receives the necessary flow.

"It is often by that that the little invisible leaks begin! My advice: During the installation, do not use plumbing teflon that ends up fraying in the engine. A little of High temperature silicone seal paste On the threads is enough for a perfect seal. And attention to the hose clamp: Do not tighten it as a wild on the fitting, you may 'mark' the metal or weaken the hose in the long run. If you see green (limestone / antifreeze) around the threading is that it's time to disassemble it and redo the tightness! "

🎓 TUTO: installation and connection

1. Preparation: Clean the female thread in the engine crankcase. Make sure no former joint debris remains at the bottom.

2. Screwing: Progress the hand connector. He must screw himself effortlessly on several turns. Complete the tightening with a suitable flat wrench, without forcing over measurement (the aluminum of the housing is fragile).

3. DURITY CONNECTION: Press the hose thoroughly until the stop of the fitting.

4. Securing: Use a quality clamp (preferably stainless steel) to maintain the hose. Check the tightness after the engine is mounted in temperature.
